Love this waterfall! It is inside Rock City, however you can view the falls without going to Rock City. This being said, I still highly recommend going to Rock City as there is so much to do there including nature trails, and caves with stories told in miniature models.
Lover’s Leap gets its name from the Cherokee legend of two young lovers, a brave named Sautee and a beautiful maiden named Nacoochee, from two feuding tribes. According to the legend, Sautee was captured and thrown from the top of Lover’s Leap. Nacoochee, distraught from the loss, jumped to her own death.
High Falls is 140 feet in height. The trail to the waterfall is easy to get to and is stroller and wheelchair accessible, making this waterfall enjoyable by all.

This waterfall is so pretty. It’s great that you can see it from the road without even going inside. So many times I have a hard time viewing waterfalls as I cannot go very far without getting tired. I love that you list the waterfalls that are easy and able to be seen from the road. This lets people like me get to experience the beauty of waterfalls that I never would have thought possible.

Rock City is a great place to visit. There’s so much to see and do. It also has one of the easiest waterfalls you’ll ever go to. What’s really nice about the waterfall is that there are several areas from where you can view the waterfall. It’s definitely worth a visit.

I’ve been here and it’s definitely worth every second… The view is breathtaking and if you’re like me and have the ability to tune everything else out it’s very relaxing as long as you don’t have a dear of heights (my sister) if you do, probably best not to go here or rock city at all…
