Ozone Falls is located in Cumberland County, Tennessee inside the Ozone Falls State Natural Area and Cumberland Trail State Park. Ozone Falls is a pretty 110 foot waterfall that was one of the locations used for the 2016 live action movie “The Jungle Book.” The hike to the base is around 0.25 miles one way. Once you park there is a sign for the trail to the plunge pool that follows the road. When you come to the guard rail turn left and climb down the bank.
The hike to the side view below is fairly easy. The trail is a little rocky, but manageable. It is a clear trail so you shouldn’t need to worry about getting lost so long as you stay on the trail. It is a very short path down to the beautiful view you see below.
You can view the waterfall from here and return the way you came or continue on to the base by continuing downward on the trail. It gets rockier as you go and the view really isn’t any better in my opinion. The view from the base is the photo to the right. I would describe this part of the trail as moderate.
After you have viewed the waterfall continue back the way you came to return to the parking lot.
Parking at this waterfall is decent, but limited with space for about 6-8 vehicles. We took the last space the day we arrived, so you may want to arrive early to make sure there is a place to park.
There are no restrooms on site. Dogs are permitted on this trail, but not recommended by the park service.
