We’re just starting into fall, and here in North East Tennessee, we’re starting to see some of the leaves change. Of course, where they change, and how much they change depend upon a lot of different factors such as how far north you go, your elevation, and even things like rainfall over the past summer.
The smokymountains.com website has put out their fall foliage map. The areas we cover on our website will be in peak this week and next for most of our areas, especially in and around the Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway.
Those areas are always considered prime viewing given the amount of trees and the elevations. Plus if you don’t see many leaves changing you can head north a bit until you do, or if you don’t see any leaves, head south.
We have plenty of waterfall trips that you can take in this area if you want to get the most of our nature trip and see as many waterfalls as you’d like. Whether you have just a day, so you want to visit something like the Cashiers to Highlands Waterfall area or Dupont State Forest, or you have a few days you can spend in Northeast Tennessee or the Blue Ridge Parkway to Highlands area. No mater what, we have what you need covered. So come take a look and enjoy the beauty of nature.
So if you’re needing to get out of the house, and get some fresh air, you might consider some of the awesome views of nature
